Work with chemicals
- Material safety data sheets, MSDS, must be available where the product is used.
- All hazardous chemicals must be clearly marked with a hazard symbol and stored in an appropriate storage location.
- Read the safety data sheet before starting work, and in the event of an accident, take this to the doctor.
- Never work with unlabeled chemicals.
- Waste management must take place in accordance with requirements for the individual product, routines at the individual workplace, and in a proper manner.
- Use QR code where available to see the latest updated information about the product.
Chemicals can pose a danger to worker safety and health. Exposure to chemicals can occur by inhalation, through the skin, or by consumption.
Machine
Each operator is responsible for ensuring that safety data sheets are available in the machine he is driving and that there is a consistency with the products in the machine. If anything is missing, contact your immediate workshop manager or Chief of Security.
Depot/workplace
The workshop manager, base- or department-manager is responsible for chemical handling at their depot, and for the provision and availability of safety data sheets.
