- Obtain the necessary documentation, which will be used to calculate stability and strength.
- Obtain a drawing of the lift, which includes the calculation of outrigger tension and dynamic forces with limitations on wave height and wind.
- Safe job analysis / risk assessment must be carried out in cooperation with the Project Department in Nordic Crane.
- Use cranes with safety bolts for outriggers.
- The crane should be attached to the barge. See the instruction manual for the specific crane in question.
- Register barge-work with our insurance company Gjensidige and get approval.
- Information about the barge (vessel certificates, stability calculations, etc.)
- Submit all documentation to sja@nckynningsrud.com
Safe job analysis / risk assessment must at least assess:
- Stability
- Boarding / Entering
- Point load
- Capacity and utilization of crane
- Weather, including water flow, wave height, icing, etc.
