What to do in case of a serious accident
- Gain an overview and evaluate your need for help.
- Secure the scene of the accident before any first aid is implemented.
- Call EMERGENCY SERVICES 113 or use the app “Hjelp 113” for contact with healthcare professionals.
- Provide necessary first aid.
- Stay on site until ambulance or other trained personnel takes over.
- Alert personnel per plan of communication (see below)
- Always familiarize yourself with local instructions and contingency plans.
- No one leaves the scene of the incident until permission has been given by the general manager/chief of security.

Plan of Communication
VICTIM/COLLEAGUE/PERSONNEL ON SITE
- In case of personal injury following an accident, the line manager must be notified as soon as possible, provided the injury allows this.
- If the victim is unable to report the incident, colleagues, witnesses, or other personnel on site must ensure notification to their immediate superior or department manager.
IMMEDIATE MANAGER
- Notify the CEO at once.
- Notify the head of department at once.
- Think safety first and prioritize going out to the scene of the accident.
- Aid victim in creating the Unwanted Event Report (RUH) in Simpli Better.
- If you need help, contact chief of security.
- Follow up with the injured party after the accident.
- When the victim cannot perform their normal duties, always, where possible, consider the possibility of alternative work tasks.
GENERAL MANAGER
- Notify Chief of Security Nordic Crane and Chief of Security Konsern.
- Notify and follow up with next-of-kin – evaluate necessities according to severity.
- Travel to the scene of an accident – assess its severity.
- Notify the Board of Directors
- Notify all employees after completed assessment in cooperation with the Chief of Security.
- Manage the media.
- Participate in follow-up meetings and contribute to internal investigations where this is carried out.
HEAD OF SECURITY NORDIC CRANE
- Contact the victim as soon as possible once circumstances permit.
- Contact the general manager.
- If necessary, travel to the scene of the accident.
- Contact the Labor Inspection Authority and the police when the accident requires this.
- Contact the Chief of Security Konsern.
- Inform the employee safety delegates.
- Gather information and data about the accident and the scene of the accident.
- Ensure that RUH (Report Unwanted Incident) and “Report of Occupational Injury” are created.
- Process RUH.
- Assess the need for internal investigation in cooperation with the Chief of Security Konsern.
- Follow up the incident per the process “Follow-up serious incidents”.
- Supply information to the management team/board/AMU.
- Disseminate the relevant information outwards within the organization to educate.
HR MANAGER
- Assist managers in reporting an occupational injury to NAV.
- Report an occupational injury to the insurance company if necessary.
- Assess the need for assistance from the occupational health service.
- Assist and guide managers with following up any sick leave.
