Risk Assessment
- A risk assessment must always be carried out before each new assignment and any new setup of machinery.
- The checklist must be completed and documented in Xago.
Safe Job Analysis (SJA)
- Must be carried out for non-routine work operations.
- Assignment-specific risks must be identified, and risk prevention measures must be implemented.
- A Safe Job Analysis must always be carried out for tandem lifts, assembly and disassembly at height, work with sheet piling, and when lifting personnel.
- The completed SJA must be sent to sja.no@nordiccrane.com or delivered to the immediate supervisor.
Toolbox
- Conducted when unforeseen changes occur that may affect risk conditions during lifting operations, load securing, or transport.
- The checklist must be completed and documented in Xago.
- If multiple operators are involved in a lifting operation, a Toolbox should be conducted unless already covered in the SJA.
Daily Machine Inspection
Machine Operator
- Check tires, lights, any oil leaks, and overall condition. Check for any warning lights when starting the machine.
- A visual inspection of the machine must be carried out daily before use, and a machine report must be completed in Xago.
- If defects or deficiencies are found, a deviation must be registered in Xago. If critical defects or deficiencies are found, the immediate supervisor must be notified immediately.
Coordinator / Immediate Supervisor
- Without undue delay, determine whether action should be taken and agree on a time for inspection or repair at the workshop according to established procedures.
- Follow up on reported deviations from machine inspections in Navition/Xago.
